Tragic Collision in Cornwall Claims Life of 19-Year-Old, Six Others Injured
A tragic accident late Friday night near the B3266 in Cornwall claimed the life of a 19-year-old and left six others injured. The collision, involving two black Seat Ibiza cars, occurred around 11:15 p.m. at crossroads between St Trudy and St Breward. The young man, who was seated in the front passenger seat, was declared dead at the scene.
Six additional individuals sustained minor injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment, according to Devon and Cornwall Police. An 18-year-old man from Bodmin was taken into custody on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing death by careless driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He has since been released on bail as the investigation continues.
Emergency response teams, including police, ambulance, and fire services, attended the site of the accident to assist the injured and secure the area. Further inquiries are ongoing as authorities gather details about the incident.
